Since September 2018 I have been working as a PhD student of mathematics at the University of Heidelberg under the supervison of Peter Albers and Anna Wienhard. My PhD thesis is about Deroin–Tholozan representations of the fundamental group of a punctured sphere into PSL(2,R). I am planning to graduate in July 2022!
I obtained my bachelor at EPFL in Lausanne in 2016 and completed my master at ETH in Zürich in 2018. My master thesis, written under the supervision of Will Merry, was concerned with dynamics in low dimensions. Namely the quest of a forcing relation for the existence of periodic orbits in surface homeomorphisms.
In connection to my PhD, I am a member of the research programs SFB/TRR 191 - Symplectic Structures in Geometry, Algebra and Dynamics and an associate member of GRK 2229 Asymptotic Invariants and Limits of Groups and Spaces. I am also a member of the Young Researchers Cluster affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence STRUCTURES.
